No more tears when cutting onions

If you do not like cutting onions because  it makes you cry, here is a tip for you.
Before cutting  onions, chill it for an hour first.  This will make the onion locked its enzyme  inside.  It is  responsible for making your eyes feel irritated and makes you  shed a tear while peeling.

With a cold onion, less propanethial S-oxide will evaporate.  You'll get some irritants, but this will help.  Remember - refrigerate, don't freeze.
